Tom broke onto the scene in 2000 in his lead role as Clark Kent on CW's Smallville. The show, which focused on Clark Kent's life prior to becoming Superman, was a hit, and launched Tom from obscurity into the limelight. Thank goodness too, because he's not just Superman, he's superfine (sorry, it had to be said!).
